Information You Send
Search Terms
When a name, county, or other search term is entered into a search tool, that query is sent to the third-party provider that powers the tool. Noble County Inmate Population does not keep its own database of those search terms.
Messages
If you email us or send a message through a contact option, we may keep the message long enough to read it, respond, and maintain ordinary business records. We do not share those messages outside the organization unless a valid legal requirement applies.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most websites, the site may receive basic technical details when a page loads. These details help diagnose errors, understand traffic, and keep pages working.
- IP address.
- Browser type and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages visited and time spent on them.
- Referring website, when a browser sends it.
- Date and time stamps.
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may be used to measure site use, remember basic settings, and support advertising or analytics. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, but some features may not behave the same way after cookies are blocked.
How Data Is Used
- To keep the site available, stable, and fast.
- To send search requests to the correct partner service.
- To understand which pages are useful to readers.
- To find bugs, broken links, and other technical problems.
- To display ads that may be tied to general interests.
Outside Links
The site links to sheriff pages, jail rosters, ODRC resources, federal locators, court sites, VINELink, and third-party search tools. Once you leave this site, the other website's privacy policy and data practices control.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure ad activity or show interest-based ads across websites. Those tracking practices occur on their systems, not in a jail or court record maintained by this site.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold as a standalone list. It may be handled by limited service providers or disclosed when the law requires it.
- Search partners that process submitted queries.
- Analytics providers that measure site traffic.
- Advertising networks that serve or measure ads.
- Law enforcement, courts, or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Security Practices
Reasonable security measures are used to protect information handled through the site. No internet-connected service can be made fully secure, so no promise is made that data can never be accessed, lost, or misused.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor submitted personal information, contact us so the information can be reviewed for deletion.
Your Data Rights
- Ask for a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Ask that personal data be deleted when retention is not required.
- Opt out of certain processing where the law gives that right.
